Hanging With Dr. Adair & Dr. Gibbons

I’ve been swamped with tests the last couple weeks so that has been consuming my time, so i haven’t written to the blog in a while. We are now done with phamerator and nearing the end of year long course! It has been a long and fulfilling year thats been a great experience! Everyone in our class has learned so much it is unbelievable! I had no idea i would be sitting in the position I am now at the beginning of last semester a much more mature and smarter person than i was, but i still don’t know that much! so much to learn, so little time!

Starting to wrap up our lab for this semester! A
little over three weeks left. It’s been a long run.

Is taking impossibly long to update and I am incredibly bored right now.

It was great to have a week off. Spring break was awesome! I don’t really feel like sitting in class right now though. I am still in spring break mode at the moment. We are having a video conference in two weeks with some people with SEA through CISCO which should be pretty. Very high end video conferencing suite!

It was hard to focus in lab today. Everyone is thinking about spring break and just wants to be out of school!

The Science-Religion presentations in class today were very good and raised a lot of good questions. It’s very interesting to hear everyones viewpoints on how science and religion can mix.

Today we have our presentations on our gene calls. We have 10 minutes to go through them all so this should be interesting. There are a lot of gene calls between the four of us in our group! Biology test is coming up. I am thinking we all should just study as group for 8 hours and we will finally get a solid A on a Biology test.

Our group assembled the sequence the fastest both times in lab two days ago. Just about to finish up annotating my section of Bennedicts genome. We just finished the biology test as well which wasnt that bad and it’s great to be done with it and heading into the weekend!

We have finally gotten Benefict back & its sequenced! Can’t wait to Wait annotating it! We have been waiting a while. It’s going to be exciting.

We are starting to annotate today… Still not entirely sure how to. Today should be interesting! We will see how it goes I guess. It’s exciting. On another note… It’s very very very very cold right now.
